Perhaps some of you don’t know that I’m a concert junkie. To tell you the truth, being in a concert feels like I’m the happiest person in the world. I know it sounds weird and insane but it’s true. Like, I’m willing to do anything like canceling all of my plans or using my savings to purchase the ticket in order to watch my favorite musician’s live concert.

There are many factors that I’ll go head over heels whenever my favorite musician come to my town. One of them is because I’m living in Indonesia. Let’s see the fact that Indonesia’s location is far away to be reached by international artists, so seeing their live concert is once in a blue moon and I don’t want to end up regretting of missing my chance. Once they come to Indonesia, there’s a little chance for them to come back within a year. Perhaps, it would be different if I live in a country like America or Europe, this such thing would not be a big deal because mostly it’s their hometown or they can have a concert at least once in a year there. Last but not least, inviting an international artist to a country ‘like’ Indonesia is not as easy as taking candy from a baby’s hand. To tell you the truth, sometimes I go to Singapore for the sake of watching my favorite artist.

The excitement of watching a concert brings a sudden rush of my adrenaline. Like, I can’t count how many times I feel goosebump in my chest. This kind of feeling is something I wouldn’t get if I only watch it on Youtube. To be honest, this kind of excitement is something I cannot precisely describe in words. The moment when the lighting was suddenly switched off, the crowd screamed the artist’s name, the stage lighting began to shine, suddenly the artist came out to the stage, and the crowd sang along with the artist, are my favorite part when watching a concert. Trust me, the feeling is TOTALLY different than only watching it on Youtube.

I know we need a certain amount of money to afford a concert ticket and sometimes the price costs an arm and a leg. But to tell you the truth, all the loss are paid off after watching a concert. And I concede that buying a concert ticket is more addicting than shopping fashion stuff. For me, purchasing a concert ticket is not only buying experience but also give an appreciation towards the artist. It’s some kind of a “thank you” to the artist for entertaining me after all this time. To be honest, as long as I still have money left on my bank account, I can purchase a concert ticket at the drop of a hat, without feeling guilty at all.

I guess that’s all my insanity towards watching a concert. Last but not least, watching a concert is my motivation to save money even more. I can say that watching a concert is in my top 5 tertiary needs.
